In the year 1984, Mr Aparesh Nandi, Mr Jayanta Kumar Ghosh and Mr Uday Narayan Singh, the promoter Directors of BCPL started its business. 

• The company started with a nominal capital of Rs. 50,000/- and a manpower of just 5 persons and has grown to its present net worth of over Rs. 33 crores.
• They began as civil contractors for the Indian Railways.
• In the mid 90s, BCPL ventured into Railway Electrification work which was gradually gaining importance in Indian Railways.
• Soon the Company achieved a niche in the market for this specialized scope of work.
